Job summary

Cmcmarkets in Dubai is seeking a Financial Controller to support the Head of Finance in operating and developing the finance function of a DFSA-authorised entity. This role focuses on accurate financial records, timely reporting, audits and strong governance.

You will lead month-end close, regulatory submissions, tax coordination and internal controls, while partnering with Compliance and other teams to ensure integrity of financial data and compliance with IFRS.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of relevant accounting or financial control experience.
• Preferably in a DFSA-authorised firm or regulated financial services.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, close processes, reconciliations and controls.
• Experience with IFRS reporting.

Responsibilities

• Financial accounting and month-end close.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals and other period-end adjustments.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate differences.
• Coordinate DFSA prudential and financial returns.
• Support tax compliance including UAE Corporate Tax and VAT where applicable.
• Coordinate external audits and prepare statutory financial statements.
• Prepare management reports, budgets and forecasts.
• Maintain finance governance, policies and internal controls.
• Cash and liquidity forecasting and reporting.
