Key Responsibilities
- Prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts covering vehicle sales, aftersales operations, dealership operating expenses, and branch‑level financial requirements.
- Track actual performance against approved budgets and forecasts, explaining variances with clear commercial reasoning and actionable insights.
- Support rolling forecasts, scenario planning, volume‑margin sensitivity analysis, and financial projections for business planning.
- Ensure accurate accounting and financial control across dealership branches in line with group policies, internal procedures, and IFRS requirements.
- Review branch‑level financials to confirm proper revenue recognition, cost allocation, vehicle accounting, parts accounting, and inventory treatment.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, supporting documents, and clear explanations for finance queries.
- Coordinate month‑end closing activities including accruals, provisions, journal entries, account reviews, and finance submission timelines.
- Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and key business summaries within agreed reporting deadlines.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts related to vehicles, parts, receivables, payables, inventory, and dealership operations.
- Analyze profitability by car model, variant, sales channel, and campaign, including margin bridge analysis and performance movement review.
- Evaluate aftersales performance across service, parts, warranty, accessories, branch activity, and model‑level profitability.
- Identify cost optimisation, margin improvement, and operating efficiency opportunities across sales and aftersales operations.
- Prepare monthly dashboards and management reports highlighting KPIs, risks, trends, financial performance, and recommended actions.
- Provide practical financial insights to management that support strategic decisions, operational planning, and performance improvement.
- Act as a finance business partner to dealership operations, sales, and aftersales teams by explaining financial results and guiding decision‑making.
Ideal Profile
- Qualified Accountant or equivalent graduate qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Minimum4‑5years of relevant experience in financial analysis, business finance, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, or dealership finance.
- Automotive industry experience is preferred, especially within dealership, sales, aftersales, EV, distribution, or multi‑branch operations.
- Strong understanding of IFRS, financial controls, company policies, revenue recognition, cost allocation, and inventory accounting.
- Advanced analytical ability with confidence in interpreting financial data, identifying variances, and explaining performance drivers.
- Proficiency in financial software, advanced MS Excel, reporting tools, and finance dashboards.
- Good knowledge of P and L reporting, balance sheet reconciliation, working capital tracking, profitability analysis, and month‑end closing.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain finance concepts clearly to non‑finance teams.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to connect financial results to sales performance, aftersales activity, pricing, campaigns, and operational decisions.
