Overview of the Role
Al-Futtaim is hiring a Finance Business Partner - Aftersales in Dubai, United Arab Emirates to support the strategic and financial performance of its Global Aftersales division. Reporting to the Senior Financial Controller, the role combines financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, KPI development, and operational business partnering. The position requires strong automotive aftersales knowledge and the ability to convert financial and operational data into actionable recommendations that improve profitability and business performance.
Business Partnering
- Partner with operational heads to improve business performance and maximize profitability.
- Lead financial planning and analysis support for annual budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans.
- Conduct variance analysis and identify areas requiring management attention or improvement.
- Perform feasibility studies for new and retention products with a focus on incremental profitability.
- Identify and support initiatives designed to strengthen financial and operational performance.
- Participate in key operational stakeholder meetings.
- Contribute to aftersales service operation committee meetings, monthly closing discussions, and management meetings.
- Provide financial insights that help business leaders make informed commercial and operational decisions.
Financial and Operational Performance
- Develop and monitor financial and operational KPIs by division and location.
- Track performance against agreed targets and highlight emerging opportunities and concerns.
- Analyse business results and present recommendations to operational stakeholders.
- Work with business heads on monthly book-closing activities for the division.
- Lead development of the aftersales reporting roadmap and recommend improvements.
- Develop exception-based reporting that provides early warning signals on potential performance issues.
- Support consistent accounting practices and standardized financial processes.
- Maintain a strong focus on P and L performance and operational efficiency.
Management Reporting and Forecasting
- Develop, review, and monitor monthly management reports with supporting commentary.
- Prepare reports for review with the Finance Manager and AGM Finance.
- Submit standard monthly management reports and Board packs within required timelines.
- Coordinate the annual revenue and cost budgeting and forecasting process.
- Maintain an effective reporting cycle that tracks business momentum and highlights potential issues.
- Develop and maintain business scorecards, revenue reports, pipeline reports, and other recurring management information.
- Provide clear analysis behind reported financial and operational results.
Processes and Controls
- Implement and monitor relevant standard operating procedures.
- Promote consistent financial and accounting processes across the business.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting quality and operational controls.
- Support disciplined forecasting, budgeting, and performance-management practices.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure financial information supports timely business decisions.
What Qualifies You for the Role
- Business degree is mandatory.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in the automotive aftersales industry.
- Experience with an original equipment supplier or major original equipment services vendor is preferred.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen.
- Sound understanding of P and L performance and its operational drivers.
- Advanced analytical, evaluation, and data interpretation capabilities.
- Proven strategic thinking and commercial decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage and influence stakeholders at senior levels.
