Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Dubai seeks a Mechanical Engineer to lead design reviews and oversee construction of mechanical systems across metro facilities, including depots, buildings and workshops. You will coordinate with civil, structural, electrical and systems disciplines to ensure safe, compliant and efficient delivery of mechanical works.

The role requires 12 years’ experience in major infrastructure projects, strong HVAC, fire protection, plumbing and workshop systems knowledge, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Mechanical Engineering.
• 12+ years in major infrastructure or metro/mechanical works.
• Strong HVAC, fire protection, plumbing and workshop systems knowledge.
• Proficient with AutoCAD/SolidWorks/BIM for multidisciplinary coordination.
• Experience in PMC/consultant environments and familiarity with FIDIC workflows.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate mechanical designs, calculations and drawings for depots and facilities.
• Oversee installation of mechanical systems ensuring IFC/shop drawings and QA/QC compliance.
• Witness and verify FAT/SAT/IST tests for depot/building systems.
