Job description

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer Mechanical to join our construction team in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the execution of mechanical works including HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Fire Fighting, LPG, and associated building services.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and material submittals.
• Monitor site progress and ensure mechanical works are completed according to approved schedules and quality standards.
• Conduct technical evaluations and resolve engineering and construction-related issues.
• Attend project meetings and provide regular progress updates to project management.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Ensure compliance with local authorities (Dubai Municipality regulations, Civil Defence requirements) and project specifications.
• Review and verify contractor invoices, variations and claims related to mechanical works.
• Identify project risks and proactively implement mitigation measures.
• Ensure adherence to HSE policies and promote a safe working environment on site.
• Support project close‑out activities, including snagging, documentation and final handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in the construction industry, with proven experience on residential and commercial projects in Dubai.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting and other building services systems.
• Familiarity with Dubai Municipality, Civil Defence, DEWA and relevant UAE construction regulations.
• Experience in managing subcontractors, consultants and site teams.
• Strong understanding of project planning, coordination and construction methodologies.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office and project management tools.
• Excellent communication, coordination and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced project environment.
