Overview
The Senior Expeditor is a professional role accountable for the oversight of expediting specific deliverables on one or more projects as directed. This position is a professional role recognized as an industry expert in Expediting required to be accountable and meet performance/quality metrics and ensuring contractual obligations are met.
This position is a Senior Professional (P3) role with experience in Expediting in CB&I related markets, products, clients, and customers.
Responsibilities
- • Reviews purchase order delivery requirements to assure quality and project requirements are met
- • Identifies and understands levels of required expediting and actions workload to optimize material deliveries according to project schedule requirements and shop demands
- • Includes accurate and timely expediting of Purchase Orders and MTRs
- • Based on Engineering specifications, contract requirements and minimum CB&I standards, provide direction on sourcing of materials along with contract flow downs and documents needed from supplier for full compliance and adequacy of orders
- • Participate where required in the TEDS process, and liaise with client for any deviation through Project Team (raising TQ or deviations as warranted to clear points)
- • Review supplier deliverables for alignment with the set requirement
- • Compile Inspection Assignment Packages consisting of unpriced PO / IRF / SDR / RITA (along with the docs) / drawings and data sheets as applicable along with ensuring latest revisions are always updated and communicated
- • Coordinate source inspections and notifications as necessary to client, and ensure iDocs is always up to date with source inspector records, signed certs and supplier inspection records
- • Perform Supplier Audits where required
- • Completes consistent and timely updates to delivery dates in the Company system, and distributes weekly expediting reports to the Project Team and to Suppliers
- • Ensures Supplier’s timely delivery of all items on Purchase Orders to maintain Project schedule
- • Works with procurement management to identify performance gaps and delays including engineering drawing delays, fabrication problems, delivery delays, sub-supplier management and people resources
- • Ensures expediting issues are being coordinated between the other departments, offices, fabrication and construction teams to meet project requirements and deadlines
- • Notifies and collaborates with Logistics subject matter expert on material movements that fall within CB&I responsibility
- • Maintains and promotes a focus on CB&I end-product whether procurement, engineering, fabrication or construction related
- • Ensures effective communications among procurement disciplines, clients, project teams, and suppliers
- • Management of Supplier warranty claim, notification to suppliers and track any charges /claims.
- • Prepare, update and issue comprehensive progress Report on timely basis.
Qualifications
- • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
- • 8+ Yrs. In Supply Chain; 6+ years in EPC industry in similar field
- • Demonstrates a knowledge of the expediting process as related to procurement.
- • Ability to effectively communicate to procurement personnel and non-procurement personnel
