Job summary

Damas Jewellery is seeking an experienced Application Developer in Dubai to own NAV/LS Retail development, customization, maintenance, and integration across our retail platforms.

You will work with IT and business teams to deliver stable, scalable NAV/LS Retail solutions, including API integrations and data workflows, while ensuring reliability and performance in our Dubai operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in Microsoft NAV/LS Retail development and application support.
• Strong hands-on experience in NAV/LS Retail and C/AL/C/SIDE development.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, queries and database troubleshooting.
• Experience in API/integration development (REST, JSON/XML, web services).
• Experience in Python development/scripting for automation and integration.
• Experience in production support and issue resolution.
• Retail industry experience preferred; professional certifications preferred.

Job description

We are looking for an application developer with strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and LS Retail. The role will be responsible for development, customisation, maintenance, integration and support of NAV and LS Retailapplications used across our retail business.

The ideal candidate should have good practical knowledge of NAV C/AL development, LS Retail POS, SQL Server, database development and API/integration development. The role will work closely with business users, IT teams and external vendors to ensure applications are stable, reliable and meet business requirements.

Principle Accountabilities

• Take ownership of the stability, availability and support of LS Retail/NAV applications and POS systems
• Develop, customise and deliver NAV/LS Retail enhancements and solutions within the agreed timelines
• Develop, maintain and support APIs and integrations with internal and third-party applications
• Manage SQL development, database troubleshooting and data integrity to support business applications
• Ensure all application changes follow IT change, testing, security, deployment and documentation standards
• Work closely with business users, IT teams and vendors to understand requirements and resolve application issues
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, automation, and optimization of retail applications and integrations
• Provide effective production support and troubleshooting to minimise business disruption

Key Performance Indicators

• Application Stability & Availability: Maitnain reliable and stable NAV/LS retail applications with minmum business disruption
• Incident resolution - resolve application and prdocution issues within agreed SLA timelinesDevelopment Quality - Deliver NAV/LS Retail developments and enhancements with good quality and minimal defects
• Project & Integration Delivery - Deliver application enhancements, APIs and integrations within agreed timelines
• Issue Reduction - Identify root causes, and reduce recurring application/production issues
• Database Perforamce - Maintain good SQL/database performance, reliability and data accuracy
• Intergration Reliability - Ensure APIs and system integrations are stable, secure and functioning as expected
• Change Management Compliance - Ensure all changes are properly tested, approved, documented and deployed as per IT procedures

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in Microsoft Dynamicas NAV/LS Retail development and application support
• Strong hands-on experience in Microsoft NAV/LS Retail and C/AL/C/SIDE development
• Experience in Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL queries, stored procedures, database troubleshooting, and data analysis
• Strong experience in SPI and system integration development including REST APIs, JSON/XML and web services
• Experience in Python development/scripting for automation, data processing and application integration
• Experience in production support, toubleshooting, and resolving application issues
• Past experience in the retail industry is highly preferres
• Relevant professional certifications are preferred
