Job summary

Plus Prime Building Contracting LLC, known as “Building Doctors,” seeks a Senior Estimation Engineer – Repair & Strengthening for an on-site role in Dubai. You will prepare detailed estimates and BOQs for repair, strengthening, and rehabilitation projects, review drawings, visit sites, and coordinate with engineering teams to refine cost projections.

Qualifications

• BOQ preparation and project estimation for repair, strengthening, and rehabilitation works.
• Strong negotiation skills with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients on pricing and terms.
• Ability to research market rates, repair technologies, and best practices in structural rehabilitation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; certifications in estimation or PM are a plus.
• Experience in estimation roles within repair, strengthening, or specialized contracting (UAE/GCC preferred).
• Proficiency in estimation software and MS Office with high numerical accuracy.

Role Description

The Senior Estimation Engineer – Repair & Strengthening is a full-time on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This role involves preparing detailed estimates and BOQs for repair, strengthening, and rehabilitation projects, including concrete repair, structural strengthening, soil stabilization, and facade works. The position includes reviewing drawings and specifications, conducting site visits and technical assessments, and coordinating with engineering and project teams to develop accurate cost projections. The Senior Estimation Engineer will analyze supplier and subcontractor quotations, participate in negotiations, and support bid submissions and tender presentations. Day-to-day tasks also include updating cost databases, researching market rates and construction methods, and contributing to value engineering and project budget optimization.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in BOQ preparation and project estimation for repair, strengthening, and rehabilitation works.
• Candidates should possess effective negotiation skills for dealing with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients on pricing and contract terms.
• Candidates should possess research skills to analyze market rates, new repair technologies, and best practices in structural rehabilitation.
• Relevant bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; professional certifications in estimation or project management are an advantage.
• Proven experience in estimation roles within repair, strengthening, or specialized contracting, preferably in the UAE or GCC region.
• Proficiency in estimation software and MS Office (especially Excel), with strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and meet strict deadlines.
