Wood seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead a mega-scale EPCM project in Abu Dhabi, overseeing engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure adherence to HSE and quality standards.

Initial office-based with regular site visits, transitioning to full-time site leadership during major construction.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Typically 20+ years of experience in project execution, with significant experience managing large-scale Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, Energy, Infrastructure, or Industrial projects.
• Proven experience leading projects through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover phases.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles, contract administration, risk management, cost control, and scheduling.
• Experience working in EPC/PMC project environments.
• Strong understanding of HSE, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
• Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools and reporting systems.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-SP, or Chartered Engineer are highly desirable

Responsabilidades

• Provide overall leadership, direction and management of a mega-scale EPCM project in Abu Dhabi.
• Establish project objectives, execution strategies, governance structures and performance targets.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, construction, project controls, quality, HSE and commissioning.
• Oversee engineering deliverables, ensuring technical compliance and timely completion.
• Manage procurement activities, including material requisitions, bid evaluations, purchase orders, vendor documentation.
• Coordinate between E, P and C teams to minimise delays and address bottlenecks.
• Initially manage execution from project office with site visits, transitioning to full-time site-based as construction progresses.
• Provide leadership to site management and construction teams ensuring conformance with drawings, specs and schedules.
• Oversee construction planning, resourcing, subcontractor performance and site logistics.
• Implement project controls, planning, scheduling, cost control and progress measurement systems.
• Monitor performance against budgets and milestones, identifying risks and mitigation actions.
• Manage forecasts, cash flow, resources and productivity reporting to senior management and client.
• Ensure compliance with EPCM contract and management of variations and commercial risks.
• Monitor contractor performance and coordinate with commercial/contracts teams.
• Demonstrate visible leadership and commitment to HSE and regulatory standards.
• Implement quality management systems and inspection requirements.
• Identify and mitigate project risks with appropriate plans.
• Build relationships with client, consultants, contractors, vendors and authorities.
• Lead project reviews, progress meetings and executive reporting.
