Job summary

Wood is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer in Abu Dhabi to lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering activities for a major ADNOC Gas EPCM project. You will oversee integration of engineering, procurement, construction, quality, HSE, and commissioning efforts, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget and contractual requirements.

Reporting to the Lead Project Engineer, you will be a key liaison for technical issue resolution, deliverables management and interface

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 12–15 years of experience in Oil & Gas.
• Experience on ADNOC Gas projects.
• Experience with EPC projects.
• Extensive site construction experience in operating Oil & Gas facilities.
• Brownfield modification experience in live facilities.
• Experience with large-diameter piping tie-ins and heavy lifting.
• Knowledge of permit-to-work systems, SIMOPS, HSE and shutdown planning.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day engineering and technical activities across multiple disciplines to align with project requirements and ADNOC Gas standards.
• Support Lead Project Engineer in implementing the engineering execution plan and monitoring progress.
• Coordinate with discipline engineers, procurement, planning, quality and HSE to ensure timely completion of activities.
• Monitor deliverables against schedules and manage technical dependencies and interfaces.
• Maintain engineering records and logs for visibility of status and issues.
• Undertake site visits to Habshan to coordinate with construction and inspect conditions.
• Facilitate design reviews and engineering workshops to identify conflicts and risks.
• Assist in procurement inputs and vendor documentation and ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Ensure engineering deliverables comply with specifications, codes, ADNOC requirements and document control protocols.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces across process, mechanical, piping, civil, electrical, instrumentation and controls.
