Confidential is seeking a highly experienced Senior Backup & Storage Engineer for a 12-month, full-time onsite contract in the United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi/Dubai). The role focuses on enterprise backup, storage infrastructure, and disaster recovery with heavy responsibilities.
You will design, implement, and maintain backup and storage environments, manage recovery operations, admin SAN/NAS, monitor jobs, and ensure data availability and compliance.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Backup & Storage Engineering.
- Experience with Enterprise Backup & Recovery solutions.
- Hands-on experience with SAN, NAS, and Disaster Recovery technologies.
- Experience with enterprise platforms (Veeam, NetBackup, Commvault, Dell EMC, NetApp).
- Relevant technical certifications.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise backup and storage infrastructure.
- Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery operations to ensure business continuity.
- Administer SAN and NAS storage environments while optimizing performance.
- Monitor backup jobs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data recovery when required.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to support business-critical systems.
- Prepare technical documentation and provide operational support during the contract.
