Job summary

DXC Technology Company in the UAE seeks an experienced Storage & Backup Architect to lead design and governance of enterprise storage, backup, and data protection solutions. The role covers SAN/NAS, replication, DR, HA, and capacity planning to ensure scalable, secure, and recoverable environments.

The candidate will develop HLD/LLD documents, set standards, and guide engineers while collaborating with infrastructure, database, virtualization, and security teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of relevant experience, including 2+ years in Storage & Backup Architecture.
• Vendor storage certifications preferred.
• ITIL 4 Foundation preferred.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead storage and backup architecture and solution design.
• Design enterprise SAN/NAS, block and file storage solutions.
• Define storage tiering, replication, performance, and capacity planning requirements.
• Design and govern backup and data protection solutions, including retention and immutability.
• Define RPOs and RTOs; design HA and DR for storage environments.
• Develop and maintain HLD and LLD documentation.
• Define restore testing and recovery validation processes.
• Collaborate with virtualization, database and infrastructure teams.
• Evaluate technologies and provide technical recommendations.
