Job summary

ADNOC Group in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Reservoir Engineer to develop and apply reservoir simulation models for field development planning and production optimisation. You will perform modelling, data analysis, and uncertainty assessments under guidance to improve reservoir understanding.

The role requires 6–8 years of experience in reservoir engineering, familiarity with Eclipse/Intersect, and knowledge of PVT, SCAL, RCA, and production operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Reservoir/Petroleum/Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• 6-8 years of experience in reservoir engineering including oil and gas fields’ development management and Full Field simulation studies (use software models).
• Reservoir and Production Operations Knowledge.
• Analytical Reservoir characterization (Material Balance) knowledge.
• Numerical reservoir simulation (Eclipse, Intersect).
• Pressure Transient Analysis and Well Performance knowledge, PVT Modelling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and run reservoir simulation models, including basic history matching and scenario analysis.
• Assist reservoir characterization and data integration with Geoscience teams.
• Support fluid modelling and EOS calibration under supervision.
• Monitor model performance and assist troubleshooting of runs.
• Contribute to reservoir management and recovery studies (e.g. waterflooding, EOR screening).
• Apply standard methods for reserves estimation and production forecasting.

About the Company

We are the largest oil producer within the ADNOC Group, accounting for over half of ADNOC’s total oil production. As the country’s oldest oil production company, our operations date back to 1939, when a 75-year concession was signed to explore for oil and gas in Abu Dhabi. As a global industry leader in environmental sustainability, we are the first in the world to capture carbon from the iron and steel industry. Our Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) facility at Al Reyadah has the capacity to capture 800,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) from Emirates Steel Industries (ESI) each year, for use in the Bab and Rumaitha oil fields to support Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR). JOB PURPOSE

Support the development and application of reservoir simulation models to assist in field development planning and production optimisation.

Perform modelling, data analysis, and uncertainty assessments under guidance to improve reservoir understanding.

Contribute to reservoir studies and translate results into practical insights to support operational decisions.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Job Specific

• Develop and run reservoir simulation models, including basic history matching and scenario analysis.
• Support reservoir characterisation and data integration in collaboration with Geoscience teams.
• Assist in fluid modelling and EOS calibration under supervision.
• Monitor model performance, identify issues, and support troubleshooting of simulation runs.
• Contribute to reservoir management and recovery studies (e.g. waterflooding, EOR screening).
• Apply standard methods for reserves estimation and production forecasting.
• Support field development studies, including well performance and infill opportunities.
• Integrate production and pressure data into models to improve reliability.
• Assist in quality control of reservoir data and studies (e.g. PVT, SCAL, RCA).
• Apply basic multiphase flow concepts and reservoir engineering principles in modelling work.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Minimum Qualification

• Bachelor Degree Reservoir/Petroleum/Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
