Job summary

Al Ghurair in Dubai seeks a seasoned Project Installation Manager to own safety, quality, productivity, and project handover across all installation stages. You will drive site readiness, coordinate client deliverables and site visits, and lead site audits to ensure timely closure of non-conformities.

Review installation plans, cost controls, and oversee material receipt, logistics, and handovers to teams and subcontractors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • 8-10 years in a project installation, engineering or supervisory role.
  • Strong project management and reporting capabilities.
  • Experience with testing, commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of safety, quality, productivity, and successful project handover throughout all stages of installation.
  • Drive proactive site preparation and readiness, coordinate client deliverables and site visits, lead site audits, and ensure timely closure of non-conformities.
  • Review and validate site execution plans and installation cost controls during the pre-delivery stage, taking accountability for installation execution and project handover.
  • Oversee material receipt and site logistics and coordinate handover of materials and work fronts to installation teams and subcontractors, with defined scope and timelines.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and site coordination sessions to strengthen collaboration and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Identify and pursue variations and change orders, ensuring all costs are documented and collected.
  • Monitor installation quality, oversee final testing and commissioning activities, close outstanding items, and facilitate handover to maintenance.
  • Control installation documentation, progress reporting, cost tracking, time approvals, risk management, and environmental requirements.
  • Act as the primary client contact for installation and site management, ensuring clear, timely communication.
  • Build and maintain client relationships through proactive engagement and high-quality installation delivery.
  • Manage client expectations and coordinate technical and commercial matters to completion.
  • Ensure installers and subcontractors are trained, certified, and competent for their roles.
  • Promote a safe, motivated, and high-performing site environment.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate with line managers and partners to address them.
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members to improve performance.
  • Manage subcontractor performance and ensure safety, quality, productivity, schedule, and commercial targets are met.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients on installation and site management matters, ensuring timely, transparent, and professional communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive engagement, effective issue resolution, and delivery of a safe, professional, and high-quality installation experience from mobilization through final handover.
  • Manage client expectations, coordinate technical and commercial matters, and ensure commitments are clearly communicated and followed through to completion.
  • Ensure installers, testing and commissioning personnel, and subcontractors are appropriately trained, certified, competent, and adequately equipped to perform their assigned responsibilities.
  • Promote a safe, motivated, accountable, and high-performing working environment across all site teams.
  • Identify training and competency development requirements and coordinate with line managers, HR, subcontracting partners, and Procurement to address them.
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members to improve technical capability, productivity, quality, and overall performance.
  • Manage subcontractor performance, maintain effective working relationships, and ensure subcontractors consistently meet agreed safety, quality, productivity, schedule, and commercial requirements.
  • Allocate resources effectively and monitor manpower productivity to ensure installation activities are completed within the approved project schedule and budget.
