Job summary

EDGE's Advanced Concepts unit in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced embedded software engineer to architect complex systems, develop bare-metal firmware for Cortex-M devices, and implement Linux drivers for custom hardware.

You will work with Jetson Linux BSP, V4L2, GStreamer, and FFmpeg, enabling multimedia processing and image capture across real-time platforms, while leading junior engineers and ensuring code quality through reviews and CI/CD.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, electronics or software engineering.
15+ years of embedded software experience in C and C++.
Strong understanding of ARM64 and Cortex-M architectures.
Expertise in Linux driver and kernel development.
Experience with Jetson Linux BSP and NVIDIA JetPack SDK including Linux kernel, CUDA, cuDNN, TensorRT.
Familiarity with V4L2, GStreamer, and FFmpeg.

Responsibilities

Architect and design complex embedded systems with real-time constraints.
Develop and maintain bare-metal firmware for Cortex-M microcontrollers (STM32, NXP LPC, PIC).
Develop Linux drivers and kernel modules for custom hardware components.
Develop user-space applications leveraging V4L2, GStreamer, and FFmpeg for multimedia processing and capture.
Lead and mentor junior engineers; perform code reviews; uphold coding standards.
