Job summary

EDGE Group PJSC seeks seasoned Software Engineers focusing on User Interface design for a Defence C2 system. You will contribute to design, development, integration, and maintenance of software components in a multidisciplinary team.

The role demands strong software fundamentals, disciplined design/testing, and Java experience in distributed or communications-based applications within a mission-critical context. This is an on-site UAE opportunity.

Qualifications

Degree in Software Engineering.
8+ years of software development experience, preferably in communications/defence.
Experience analysing designs from Human Factors perspective.
Strong knowledge of UML and core software engineering principles.

Responsibilities

Produce UI specifications based on end-user input and operational analysis.
Develop design concepts with emphasis on usability.
Create prototypes and scenarios with focus on operational context and task analysis.
Contribute to software architecture and integration activities across distributed systems.
Produce and maintain software design artefacts and participate in design reviews.
Ensure software quality through automated tests and code/peer reviews.
