Job summary

EDGE Group PJSC is seeking a Principal Engineer - Embedded Software (E&E) to architect and implement complex embedded solutions for real-time systems. The role involves bare-metal firmware for Cortex-M MCUs (STM32/NXP PIC), Linux drivers, RTOS integration, and multimedia pipelines using V4L2, GStreamer, and FFmpeg.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in computer science, electronics or software engineering required.
• 15+ years of embedded software engineering experience including C/C++.
• Strong understanding of ARM64 and Cortex-M architectures.
• Expertise in Linux driver and kernel development.
• Experience with bare-metal firmware on STM32, NXP LPC, Microchip PIC.
• Proficiency with RTOS like FreeRTOS/mbed/ThreadX.
• Knowledge of I2C/UART/SPI/CAN protocols in Linux and MCUs.
• Familiarity with V4L2, GStreamer and FFmpeg.
• Knowledge of Jetson Linux BSP and NVIDIA JetPack.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design complex embedded systems for real-time constraints.
• Develop and maintain bare-metal firmware for Cortex-M MCUs.
• Develop Linux drivers and kernel modules for custom hardware.
