Job summary

HALCON is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain high‑reliability navigation software for defence applications. You will work on GPS/INS and multi‑sensor fusion in real‑time environments, contributing across the full software lifecycle from concept through deployment.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with DO‑178C or equivalent standards while delivering robust firmware and tools for engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Formal training and proficiency in C/C++ development.
• Experience with Jama requirements management software is advantageous.
• Experience supporting software certification to DO-178C or equivalent is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software in real-time environments using C/C++.
• Develop software for navigation systems including GPS, INS, and sensor fusion.
• Integrate algorithms with hardware platforms and sensor interfaces.
• Ensure software meets requirements, standards, and CM practices.
• Document requirements, architecture, design, code, and test cases.
