EDGE Group PJSC is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer focused on navigation systems, including GPS and INS, to design, implement and validate high-assurance software in real-time embedded environments.

The role demands ten-plus years of C/C++ experience, RTOS proficiency, and prior exposure to certification standards such as DO-178C. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in defence programmes and mentor junior engineers while delivering robust, traceable software artifacts.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of embedded software development experience in C/C++.
• Experience with RTOS environments.
• Experience supporting software certification to DO-178C or equivalent.
• Formal training in C/C++ development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software using C/C++ in real-time environments.
• Develop software for navigation systems, including GPS, INS, and multi-sensor fusion.
• Integrate navigation algorithms with hardware and sensor interfaces.
• Deliver high-quality software meeting requirements, standards and CM practices.
• Develop and maintain software documentation: requirements, architecture, design, code and tests.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to architecture, verification, and testing strategies.
• Apply software engineering principles across the lifecycle and support V&V activities.
• Support DO-178C or equivalent certification activities and traceability.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
