Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a Principal ELV & IBMS Engineer for data centres in Dubai. You will lead end-to-end ELV/IBMS design, architecture, integration strategy, and commissioning support for hyperscale facilities, working with regional teams and clients.

The role requires expertise in BMS/EPMS/DCIM, security systems, and network protocols; you will mentor engineers, develop DBRs, and ensure uptime and compliance with standards such as ISO 27001 and TIA-942.

Qualifications

• BE / BTech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Telecom Engineering.
• Professional registration or equivalent standing as an engineer.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary ELV/IBMS technical contact for clients, leading system architecture discussions, integration strategy, and operational readiness with senior engineering and operations teams
• Directly engage with client-side SMEs, SOC, IT teams, global stakeholders, and multidisciplinary design teams
• Own preparation of IBMS Design Basis Reports (DBR), system architecture narratives, cause & effect matrices, and integration strategy documentation
• Define complete ELV/IBMS architecture including BMS/EPMS/DCIM integration, security systems (CCTV/VMS, access control, perimeter protection), fire alarm systems (FAS, VESDA), PA/VA systems, and operational workflows
• Lead multidisciplinary coordination across Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, Fire Protection, IT, and BIM teams during installation and testing phases
