Job summary

Next Gen Alternative Nicotine Manufacturing Ltd in Abu Dhabi seeks a Mechatronics/Automation specialist to tune and optimize equipment in electronics manufacturing. You will lead changeovers, calibrate processes, and diagnose faults while ensuring safe operation and adherence to LOTO procedures.

The role requires 3+ years in equipment tuning, familiarity with e-cigarette filling/packaging automation, and basic English for HMIs and manuals.

Qualifications

• Technical education in Mechatronics, Automation, or Mechanical disciplines.
• 3+ years of equipment-tuning experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Familiar with e-cigarette filling, labeling, and packaging automation.
• Able to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Basic English communication for HMIs and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment changeovers and qualify first articles after setup.
• Fine-tune equipment parameters for efficiency, UPH, and yield.
• Diagnose faults beyond line maintenance, including PLC issues.
• Execute weekly/monthly preventive maintenance and calibrations.
• Manage spare parts, wear parts, and molds; propose purchases.
• Train line operators for safe operation and correct usage.

Job description

• Equipment changeover setup Debug equipment during product-model changeover including changing molds adjusting sensor positions and setting PLC HMI process parameters and ensure the first article after setup is qualified
• Parameter optimization During production fine-tune equipment running parameters pressure temperature speed position etc according to efficiency UPH and yield to reach the optimal production state
• Fault diagnosis Resolve complex equipment faults that line maintenance technicians cannot handle involving electrical-component replacement pneumatic-circuit repair and simple control-program troubleshooting
• Inspection PM Execute weekly monthly preventive maintenance PM plans lubricating fastening and calibrating key moving parts to reduce sudden downtime
• Spare-parts tooling management Keep and inspect equipment parts wear parts and molds in the assigned area and propose purchase requisitions to the ME Engineer
• Operator training Guide line operators to run equipment correctly and safely and correct wrong operations that could damage equipment

Background

Technical school, secondary technical diploma or above, Mechatronics, Automation or Mechanical major.

Experience

3+ years of equipment-tuning experience in electronics manufacturing; familiar with e-cigarette filling, labeling and packaging automation preferred.

Technical skills

Familiar with pneumatic components, servo/stepper motors and basic PLC logic; able to read electrical and mechanical assembly drawings.

Language

Basic English communication (reads English HMI screens and English equipment maintenance manuals).

Core qualities

Clear logical thinking, able to quickly identify root cause from fault symptoms; strong safety awareness (strict LOTO lockout/tagout).

Adaptability

Able to accept two-shift or overtime work during the factory's early phase; good service awareness and teamwork.
