Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Resident Engineer - Electrical in Abu Dhabi to lead overhead transmission line projects from initiation to closeout. You will manage objectives, schedules, and budgets while coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.

The role requires a Civil/related engineering background, 15+ years in electrical engineering for overhead lines, and proficiency with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and AutoCAD. PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in electrical engineering, with focus on overhead line projects.
• Extensive knowledge of transmission line design, construction, and maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of overhead transmission line projects, from initiation to closeout, ensuring adherence to objectives, schedule, and budgets.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop project plans, including scope definition and risk management.
• Review engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for compliance with client requirements and standards.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to procure materials, equipment and services.
• Supervise construction activities, including tower erection, conductor stringing, and installation of hardware and accessories.
• Perform regular site inspections, QA/QC checks, and progress reviews; manage project closeout and documentation.
