Job summary

TRACTEBEL is seeking a Resident Engineer – Electrical (OHL) in Abu Dhabi to lead and supervise site activities for EHV/HV overhead transmission line projects (400kV/220kV/132kV). You will manage contractors, coordinate with clients, and ensure compliance with utility standards and contractual obligations.

The role demands extensive on-site leadership, review of technical submittals, NCR handling, and safety oversight in line with ITPs and project plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years in Resident Engineer / Site Leadership roles.
• Experience with 400kV / 220kV / 132kV transmission line projects.
• Experience with UAE utilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage electrical engineering activities for overhead transmission line projects.
• Oversee site supervision teams and contractor execution activities.
• Ensure project delivery meets schedule, budget, and quality targets.
• Review and approve technical submittals, shop drawings, and method statements.
• Interface with clients, contractors, consultants, and utility authorities.
