Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Inspector - Electrical Building Construction for our Abu Dhabi projects. You will perform detailed electrical inspections across construction stages, ensuring compliance with UAE codes and international standards while coordinating with contractors and project teams on-site.

You will document findings, recommend corrective actions, and maintain rigorous records to support safety and quality on all sites.

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical building construction inspection or related field.
Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering is required.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough electrical inspections at various stages of building construction projects (rough-in, trim-out, final).
Verify compliance with UAE electrical codes, IEC standards, and project specs.
Inspect electrical systems, panels, circuits, grounding and safety devices.
Test systems, document findings in detailed inspection reports.
Identify violations and communicate findings to project managers and contractors.
Recommend corrective actions and verify issues are resolved to specification.
Maintain organized inspection records and photographic evidence.
Coordinate with contractors and engineers to resolve electrical concerns.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations on all sites.
Stay updated with changes in electrical codes and industry practices.
