Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Electrical Inspector - Building Systems for Abu Dhabi Emirate to oversee electrical installations on major building projects. You will verify workmanship, ensure compliance with NEC, IEC and UAE requirements, and support safe, high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of electrical inspection experience.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, IEC and UAE electrical requirements.
• Experience supervising contractors on active construction sites.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and project specifications.
• Proven testing and non-conformance reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical installations at different construction stages.
• Verify works against drawings, specifications, and codes.
• Review documentation to identify installation requirements and interfaces.
• Inspect power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, grounding, and safety provisions.
• Perform or witness circuit and grounding testing.
• Record inspection findings, test results, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
• Identify code violations, unsafe conditions, and workmanship issues requiring rectification.
• Supervise electrical contractors and site personnel for quality and safety.
• Communicate inspection findings to stakeholders promptly.
• Coordinate with project teams to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain organized records of inspections and test results.
