Job summary

Parsons in Dubai is seeking an Electrical Engineer to coordinate electrical and MEP construction activities for road and LED street lighting projects on-site. The role requires deep coordination with utilities, authorities, and engineering teams to ensure compliance with DEWA and local standards.

The candidate will review shop drawings, manage material approvals, inspections, and commissioning, while maintaining progress against approved drawings and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum eight years of relevant professional experience.
• At least eight years of experience managing construction and supervising infrastructure projects involving roads and LED street lighting systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of electrical infrastructure construction and MEP coordination.
• Experience dealing with government authorities, including DEWA, RTA, and Dubai Municipality.
• Thorough understanding of DEWA regulations and applicable technical standards.
• Ability to review contractor shop drawings and engineering submissions.
• Experience coordinating material approvals, site inspections, and commissioning requirements.
• Working knowledge of CAD and computer software used in engineering and construction.
• Proven capability to undertake construction management and supervision responsibilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to establish productive working relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and local authorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate electrical infrastructure and MEP construction activities.
• Supervise LED street lighting and related infrastructure works.
• Monitor construction against drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with the Resident Engineer on coordination matters.
• Liaise with structural, utility, and materials engineers to resolve interfaces.
• Support commissioning and final approvals and documentation.
