Timber in Dubai is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to reinforce our team on a residential project in Dubai. The role requires overseeing electrical design and discipline teams, ensuring compliance with codes and client procedures, and delivering high-quality outputs on schedule.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in electrical design, 15+ years in oil and gas, familiarity with SmartPlant and FEED studies, plus experience with HAZID/HAZOP.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Design.
• 15+ years experience in oil & gas.
• Strong understanding of electrical system layout and analysis.
• Familiarity with global codes and standards.
• Knowledge of software for electrical design including SmartPlant.
• Experience with HAZID, HAZOP and IPF/SIL studies.
• Experience with FEED studies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical design and discipline teams on the contract and high-value installations.
• Ensure staff proficiency and training as required by the client.
• Single-point responsibility for all electrical deliverables and compliance with codes and client procedures.
• Manage design and construction budgets and progress reporting.
• Coordinate with other disciplines through all design phases and site activities.
• Support safety and design reviews and ensure quality delivery on schedule.
