Job summary

Duncan & Ross Consulting seeks an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to head all electrical engineering activities for a large-scale gas processing facility. You will lead design, coordination, and delivery of electrical systems in line with client and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
• 15+ years of experience in electrical engineering for oil & gas or process plant projects
• Experience on large-scale gas processing or petrochemical facility projects
• Proficiency in electrical system studies using ETAP or SKM
• Knowledge of hazardous area classification and MV/LV switchgear
• Experience with ADNOC projects is a strong advantage
• Arabic-speaking candidates are preferred
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills

• Develop and review electrical specifications, equipment datasheets, and design calculations
• Perform electrical system studies including load flow, short circuit, arc flash, and protection coordination studies
• Coordinate electrical interfaces with instrument, control, and other engineering disciplines
• Review and approve vendor electrical drawings and documentation
• Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, NEC, and applicable local standards
• Manage and mentor a team of electrical engineers and designers
• Support construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of electrical systems

• Develop and review electrical specifications, equipment datasheets, and design calculations
• Perform electrical system studies including load flow, short circuit, arc flash, and protection coordination studies

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
• Minimum 15 years of experience in electrical engineering for oil & gas or process plant projects; specialist-level candidates also considered
• Proven experience on large-scale gas processing or petrochemical facility projects
• Proficiency in electrical system studies using ETAP, SKM, or equivalent software
• Solid knowledge of hazardous area classification, protection systems, and MV/LV switchgear
• Experience with ADNOC projects and associated electrical standards is a strong advantage
• Arabic-speaking candidates are preferred
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
