Job summary

Petrofac in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Lead Engineer (Electrical) with strong managerial oversight to guide projects from concept to detailed engineering.

The role requires a minimum of 20 years of detailed design engineering experience, with at least 5 years in management, preferably in consultancy or EPC for petrochemical or oil and gas. The position involves coordinating recruitment, planning, and ensuring ISO quality compliance, with interactions across global offices and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is required.
• Minimum of 20 years of detailed design engineering experience; at least 5 years in a managerial position.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate manpower recruitment and conduct technical interviews with HOD.
• Provide guidance on planning of all engineering activities and manpower resources for proposals/projects.
• Ensure adequacy and efficient utilization of Electrical Engineers resources.
• Organize internal quality audits/peer reviews and ensure timely closure of actions.
• Lead design reviews, SAFOP, and constructability reviews when needed.
• Develop Company Electrical engineering standards and ensure ISO quality compliance.
• Interface with client and PEM on technical issues and regular progress meetings.
• Interact with global offices to ensure consistency across projects.
