Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – Design & Application (Medium Voltage Switchgear) to lead detailed MV switchgear design and protection engineering in Dubai. You will ensure IEC compliance, perform relay programming, and contribute to project delivery.

The role requires 8–12 years of MV experience, proficiency with AutoCAD/EPLAN, and strong analytical skills. Collaboration with sales, project teams, and commissioning is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 8–12 years of MV switchgear design and protection engineering experience.
• Experience with IEC 62271 series and protection standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review SLDs, GA drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and interlocking logic for MV switchgear (AIS/GIS up to 36kV).
• Perform busbar sizing, short‑circuit calculations, and thermal analysis.
• Configure and program protection relays per project philosophy and perform relay setting calculations.
• Develop trip matrix and interlocking logic; support protection coordination studies.
