Job summary

Wood in Abu Dhabi is offering an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Electrical Engineer (UAE National) to begin their professional career within a leading global engineering consultancy. You will gain hands-on exposure to oil and gas and energy transition projects while developing technical, professional and leadership skills through a structured graduate program.

Under the guidance of experienced engineers, you will contribute to electrical design, analysis, documentation and coordination

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 12+ years experience.
• Fundamental knowledge of electrical engineering principles
• Strong communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Motivation to learn and develop within a professional engineering environment
• Ability to work full time from Wood’s Abu Dhabi office

Responsibilities

• Assist in electrical design deliverables including calculations, drawings, datasheets and specifications
• Support electrical studies such as load lists, cable sizing, earthing, lighting and power distribution
• Work closely with senior engineers to understand project requirements and execution strategies
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions
• Participate in design reviews, workshops and risk assessments as required
• Ensure compliance with applicable international codes, standards and client specifications
• Actively engage in graduate development, mentoring and training activities
