Job summary

Black & White Engineering in Dubai is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to own design delivery from concept to detailed design within a high-performing MEP team. You will shape designs, influence technical decisions, and engage directly with clients and consultants.

You will coordinate with disciplines, ensure code compliance, and contribute to a culture of accountability and technical excellence, with clear career progression within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSc/BEng or equivalent).
• Experience in MEP electrical design across building types, Data Centre preferable.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and electrical design tools; MS Office knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Leading electrical design delivery across multiple projects from concept through detailed design.
• Preparing specifications, drawings and contract documentation aligned with client and regulatory requirements.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards and statutory regulations.
• Coordinating with mechanical, public health and other disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
• Supporting budget development and cost planning aligned with client specifications.
• Liaising directly with clients, design teams and stakeholders.
• Managing scope changes in line with change control procedures and maintaining cost and programme awareness.
• Supporting junior engineers and contributing technically across the wider team.

What we're looking for

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering (BSc/BEng or equivalent)
• Experience in MEP electrical design across a range of building types, Data Centre preferable.
• Strong understanding of relevant codes, standards and regulatory frameworks
• Proficiency in industry software such as AutoCAD and recognised electrical design tools
• Working knowledge of MS Office
• Membership (or working toward membership) of a recognised professional body such as CIBSE or IET
• A proactive engineer who takes ownership and supports team delivery
