Job summary

PureHealth in the UAE is seeking a Senior Engineer – Electrical (Projects Design & Planning) to deliver electrical design for healthcare facilities, ensuring reliability, patient safety and compliance with DoH, IEC and NFPA standards.

You will design HV/LV distribution, emergency power, UPS, medical IT, nurse call and fire alarm systems, prepare load calculations and create single-line diagrams, coordinating with vendors and regulatory authorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7+ years of relevant experience, including hospital projects in the GCC.
• Strong knowledge of IEC, NFPA and DoH standards.
• Proficiency in ETAP and Revit MEP.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, contractors and other project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design HV/LV distribution, emergency power, UPS, medical IT, nurse call and fire alarm systems in line with DoH and Civil Defence requirements.
• Prepare load calculations, single-line diagrams and electrical material specifications.
• Develop lighting designs and coordinate electrical integration with building management systems.
• Coordinate with medical equipment vendors to establish and incorporate equipment power requirements.
• Review contractor shop drawings and factory and site acceptance testing protocols for electrical systems.
• Incorporate sustainability requirements, including LED lighting and energy metering, into project designs.
• Work with internal teams, contractors, vendors, utility providers and regulatory authorities throughout design and delivery.

Job Purpose:

Deliver electrical design for healthcare facilities, with a focus on reliable operation, patient safety and compliance with applicable standards. The role supports the planning and delivery of critical electrical systems across hospital projects.

Key Responsibilities
