Job summary

Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for Facilities Maintenance in Abu Dhabi. You will support the manager to ensure electrical networks and systems comply with safety, standards, policies, and contracts, while overseeing project execution from planning to completion.

The role requires 4–6 years of relevant experience, with a Bachelor's degree or Diploma and additional experience. Master’s degree is desirable.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
Diploma in a relevant field with 3 years of additional experience.
Master's degree or equivalent in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline (desirable).

Responsibilities

Assists and advises on circuit types, breakers, and equipment calculations.
Prepares delivery and installation schedules for machines, cables and fittings.
Ensures works meet specifications and safety standards.
Oversees electrical works before, during, and after execution of projects.
Maintains planning, testing, and material compliance records.
Plans and conducts inspection and testing of materials and workmanship.
Supports annual electrical network upgrades and replacements.
Assists in resolving technical queries with engineers.

Job Description

Responsible for supporting the Manager and ensuring that all electrical networks and systems are in accordance with SSMC and local authority safety and management standards, policies procedures, statutory and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

Facilitates and advice on the type and arrangement of circuits, circuit-breakers, and equipment, based on calculations
Prepares delivery and installation schedules for machines, cables and fittings
Ensures that completed works meet specifications and safety standards, contributing and adhering to the safety requirements of the operation
Monitors and ensures that all works are carried out in accordance with the contract drawings, specifications, instructions and programmers
Oversees all activities relating to electrical works before, during and after the execution of the projects
Monitors all planning, arrangement and control of material compliance testing/evaluation and ensures relevant records are maintained
Plans and conducts regular record inspection and test activities for materials and workmanship
Facilitates annually for electrical networks and systems for up gradation and replacement
Approves and assists the Engineer in resolving all recorded technical queries

Accountabilities

Designs and supervises the design of a variety of electrical systems
Evaluates electrical design drawings and specifications prepared by other engineers

Qualifications

Experience :-

4-6 years of relevant experience in a similar industry

Desired:

Experience in a large healthcare facility

Educational Qualification: Required:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering or in a relevant technical discipline OR Diploma in relevant field with 3 years of additional experience
