Job summary

Julphar is seeking an experienced Senior Manager - Environment, Health & Safety to lead the EHS agenda across its Ras Al Khaimah manufacturing campus. The Site EHS Leader will drive a proactive culture, ensuring safety, health, environmental and process-safety risks are managed in line with UAE regulations and Julphar standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• Master's degree is an advantage.
• NEBOSH Diploma/International Diploma, CMIOSH, CSP or equivalent is strongly preferred.
• ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001 Lead Auditor or equivalent management‑system qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive EHS experience, preferably within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical or another complex regulated manufacturing environment.
• At least 5 years in an EHS leadership or senior‑management capacity with responsibility for a complex manufacturing site or multi‑building operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the RAK Campus EHS Strategy and Governance, aligning with ISO standards.
• Provide visible EHS leadership across Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and other functions.
• Lead site risk management using risk assessment methods like HAZID/HAZOP.
• Own critical safety programs including Permit to Work, Lockout/Tagout and electrical safety.
• Strengthen process and chemical safety, hazardous materials management and CHOcontrols.
• Lead occupational health and industrial hygiene programs.
• Drive environmental management including waste, wastewater, air emissions and energy efficiency.
• Oversee emergency preparedness, fire/life safety governance and drills.
• Lead incident investigations, CAPA and lessons learned for risk reduction.
• Drive compliance, audits, permits, inspections and regulatory interactions.
• Embed EHS by design in engineering and capital projects.
• Develop EHS capability across the campus via training and coaching.
• Maintain EHS-GMP interface with Quality and Manufacturing.
