Job summary

AIQ is building RoboWell APC, the autonomous execution layer of its production platform, deploying MPC on industrial edge hardware and integrating with DCS/SCADA. The role is a hands-on technical lead responsible for architecture, security compliance, and field deployments on smart‑completion wells.

You will lead design, validation, and field pilots, mentoring developers to deliver a hardened edge controller with CI/CD for device deployment and rigorous testing.

Qualifications

• MSc (or equivalent) in Control Engineering, Robotics, Electronic / Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years building software for autonomous or mission-critical control systems with field deployment experience.
• Strong practical MPC / optimal-control background with state estimation and controller tuning.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement MPC / constrained-optimisation controllers for multi-zone wells.
• Own edge software architecture with containerised deployment and deterministic scheduling.
• Implement southbound/integration with control systems and IT/OT bridge for telemetry and observability.
• Lead field pilots, commissioning, tuning and hand‑over to operations.
• Set technical direction and mentor developers on the edge/APC workstream.
