Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a seasoned professional to lead tendering and cost estimation for Electrical & Instrumentation systems in Oil & Gas EPC projects. You will study ITT packages, develop unit rate build‑ups, and prepare technical and commercial tender submissions.

The role requires 5–7 years in tendering or cost estimation, strong E&I knowledge, and proficiency with Excel and Office tools. Background with major EPC contractors and international projects is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electrical & Instrumentation Engineering.
• 5–7 years of experience in tendering or cost estimation for Oil & Gas EPC projects.
• Experience with major EPC contractors or international oil & gas projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Electrical & Instrumentation systems used in oil & gas facilities.
• Ability to interpret: Single Line Diagrams (SLD), Electrical layouts, Instrument datasheets and hook-ups, Control system architecture diagrams.
• Familiar with IEC, IEEE, NFPA, API standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools for estimation and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Study & review ITT, technical specifications, datasheets, drawings, and scope of work related to Electrical & Instrumentation systems.
• Identify scope boundaries, technical requirements, and project risks associated with the E&I discipline.
• Prepare technical clarifications and tender queries when required.
• Develop detailed cost estimates including direct costs (materials, labour, construction equipment) and indirect costs.
• Prepare unit rate build-ups and pricing analysis using historical cost data and productivity norms.
• Assist in preparing technical and commercial tender submissions.
• Maintain organized estimation records, cost databases, and tender documentation.
