Job summary

Tanqeeb in Dubai is seeking an experienced CAD Drafter to translate project plans into detailed AutoCAD drawings, develop layouts, and produce single-line diagrams for multidisciplinary teams.

You will collaborate with project managers, review design packages, and ensure compliance with standards while mentoring junior drafters and delivering on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Diploma in Design or relevant field with additional industry experience.
• 2–3 years of AutoCAD design with Engineering Degree, or 5–6 years with Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret project plans, specifications and layouts from consultants, contractors, and clients.
• Develop detailed project layouts, schematics, and single-line drawings using AutoCAD and related tools.
• Prepare project data tables, schedules, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and engineering teams to meet design requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, consultants, and contractors on design matters.
• Ensure compliance with internal design standards and industry best practices.
• Support and mentor CAD Drafters with technical guidance and design support.
• Deliver design packages within project timelines and milestones.
• Verify designs undergo internal reviews before submission.
• Generate reports, schedules and documentation using design software.
• Maintain project records and design documentation in PM systems.
• Review BOQ and ensure design quantities match project needs.
• Develop baseline software or system configurations for commissioning activities.
• Contribute ideas to enhance design quality and project outcomes.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in the latest versions of AutoCAD.

• Experience with lighting, automation, or integrated systems design software such as Lutron.

• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
