Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• 7+ years in steel structures design; 3+ years in leadership.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla Structures and related engineering principles.

Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Design Manager with a strong background in steel structures to join our team The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading design teams and managing the development of complex steel structure projects from conception through to completion This role requires a blend of technical expertise leadership ability and project management skills

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design team ensuring effective collaboration and coordination between engineers architects and other stakeholders
• Oversee the design process of steel structures ensuring all projects meet technical standards client specifications and regulatory requirements
• Develop and implement design strategies workflows and processes to enhance efficiency and quality
• Liaise with clients and consultants to gather project requirements provide expert advice and ensure that design solutions meet or exceed expectations
• Coordinate with project managers and other departments to ensure seamless integration of design with project planning execution and delivery
• Review and approve design documents drawings and specifications ensuring accuracy compliance and feasibility
• Stay abreast of industry trends technologies and best practices in steel structure design and construction
• Manage and mentor design staff fostering a culture of continuous improvement innovation and professional development
• Contribute to the preparation of proposals presentations and bids showcasing the company s design capabilities and solutions
• Oversee budgeting scheduling and resource allocation for the design department to ensure projects are completed within time and budget constraints
• Manage risks and troubleshoot design-related issues throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Structural Engineering Civil Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in the design of steel structures with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role
• Strong knowledge of design software e g AutoCAD Revit Tekla Structures and engineering principles related to steel structure design
• Excellent communication leadership and project management skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results under tight deadlines
• Familiarity with industry standards building codes and safety regulations
