Job summary

HUMAN-AI-Z Nexus Technology in Dubai seeks a Senior Design and Engineering Manager to lead end-to-end design activities across civil, structural, architectural, and MEP disciplines. You will ensure constructible, compliant solutions aligned with project goals while coordinating with clients, consultants, and authorities.

Role requires deep expertise in design coordination, value engineering, and risk management, plus strong leadership and communication skills for progressing complex EPC projects

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and multidisciplinary design-management capabilities.
• Extensive knowledge of engineering design principles, construction methodologies, and project execution.
• Strong understanding of civil, structural, architectural, MEP, electrical, and mechanical interfaces.
• Ability to review technical drawings, calculations, specifications, and engineering documents.
• Strong knowledge of design coordination, constructability, value engineering, and technical risk management.
• Proficiency in BIM/design coordination processes and relevant engineering software.
• Strong understanding of UAE building regulations, authority requirements, and international engineering standards.
• Excellent client, consultant, contractor, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project planning, coordination, and time-management capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple design packages and engineering priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the complete design and engineering activities from concept and detailed design through construction support and project handover.
• Develop design strategies, engineering plans, deliverable schedules, and technical execution plans in line with project requirements.
• Manage multidisciplinary engineering activities covering civil, structural, architectural, MEP, electrical, mechanical, and other relevant disciplines.
• Review project scope, contract documents, specifications, BOQs, drawings, and employer requirements to establish design deliverables and technical requirements.
• Lead design development and ensure engineering solutions are practical, cost-effective, constructible, and aligned with project objectives.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, authorities, contractors, subcontractors, and internal project teams on all design and engineering matters.
• Review and manage engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, technical reports, design submissions, and other project deliverables.
• Establish design review and approval processes and ensure timely submission and closure of technical comments.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable UAE regulations, authority requirements, international codes, project specifications, and contractual obligations.
• Coordinate technical interfaces between different engineering disciplines and identify and resolve design clashes and discrepancies.
