Job summary

HUMAN-AI-Z Nexus Technology in Dubai is seeking a senior Civil Project Manager to lead infrastructure and building projects from initiation through handover. You will develop execution strategies, plans, schedules, and resource allocations to deliver complex civil works in a demanding market.

The role requires extensive UAE/GCC experience, ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with clients and authorities, monitor budgets and timelines, and ensure QA/QC and HSE compliance on

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
12–18 years of relevant experience in civil construction and project management.
5 years of experience in a project management/managerial role.
Proven experience managing multidisciplinary project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients.
UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred.
Experience working on projects in Dubai and Abu Dhabi; familiarity with local authority requirements.
Professional certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Manage civil engineering projects from project initiation and mobilization through construction, completion, and final handover.
Develop project execution strategies, construction plans, schedules, resource plans, and project delivery objectives.
Review contract documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, scope of work, and project requirements.
Ensure project activities are executed in accordance with approved designs, specifications, method statements, applicable codes, and contractual requirements.
Lead and coordinate civil construction activities including earthworks, excavation, foundations, concrete works, structural works, roads, drainage, utilities, and associated infrastructure.
Monitor project progress against approved schedules, milestones, and contractual commitments.
Identify potential delays, risks, technical constraints, and resource issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Manage project budgets, monitor costs, and ensure effective utilization of manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, authorities, and internal stakeholders.
Lead project meetings and provide regular progress, cost, risk, and performance reports to senior management.
Review and approve project methodologies, construction plans, technical submissions, and other project documentation within delegated authority.
Manage subcontractors and ensure compliance with contractual obligations, quality requirements, safety standards, and project schedules.
Coordinate with procurement and commercial teams to ensure timely availability of materials, services, and subcontract packages.
Monitor material requirements, procurement status, delivery schedules, and site consumption.
Ensure implementation of project QA/QC procedures and timely closure of inspections, NCRs, technical queries, and defects.
Ensure strict compliance with HSE policies, risk assessments, permit requirements, toolbox talks, and safe construction practices.
Manage variations, claims, change orders, and commercial issues in coordination with the commercial/contracts team.
Monitor project cash flow, expenditure, commitments, and cost-to-complete forecasts.
Review construction productivity and identify opportunities for cost optimization and improved execution efficiency.
Coordinate with design and engineering teams to resolve design issues, RFIs, discrepancies, and constructability concerns.
Ensure effective coordination between civil, structural, MEP, architectural, and other project disciplines.
Monitor testing, inspections, snagging, rectification, commissioning, and completion activities.
Ensure preparation and submission of as-built drawings, handover documents, operation and maintenance manuals, warranties, and other close-out documentation.
Lead project close-out and ensure successful handover to the client within contractual requirements.
Mentor and manage project teams, ensuring clear responsibilities, performance expectations, and effective communication.
Drive continuous improvement, lessons learned, and best practices across civil projects.
