Job summary

Emirates Electrical Engineering LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer – MEP Coordination to lead multidisciplinary MEP design and coordination on major UAE building projects.

You will oversee HVAC design, MEP coordination, BIM clash detection, and technical submissions while mentoring design engineers and draftsmen to ensure timely delivery of high-quality outputs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is required.
• 10–15 years of MEP design and coordination experience, preferably in UAE/GCC.
• Strong expertise in HVAC design, load calculations, and equipment selection.
• Proven MEP coordination, shop drawings, and technical submissions.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and coordination of MEP systems (HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, electrical, ELV, BMS).
• Review HVAC loads, equipment selections, and ventilation designs using HAP and related tools.
• Manage MEP shop drawings, builders' work drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Drive BIM coordination with Revit and Navisworks, including clash detection.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, project managers, and site teams to resolve issues.

Join a leading construction and engineering team delivering landmark projects across the UAE.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer – MEP Coordination to lead multidisciplinary MEP design and coordination activities for major building and construction projects. This role requires strong expertise in HVAC design, MEP coordination, BIM-based clash detection, technical submissions, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and coordination of MEP systems, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, electrical, ELV, and BMS systems.
• Review and validate HVAC load calculations, equipment selections, chilled water systems, and ventilation designs using HAP and related tools.
• Manage MEP shop drawings, builders' work drawings, technical submissions, and engineering documentation.
• Drive BIM coordination using Revit and Navisworks, including clash detection and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and authorities to resolve technical issues and facilitate project delivery.
• Lead and mentor design engineers, BIM modelers, and draftsmen while ensuring quality and timely delivery of engineering outputs.
• Support procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10-15 years of MEP design and coordination experience, preferably within the UAE/GCC construction industry.
• Strong experience in HVAC design, HAP calculations, equipment selection, and multidisciplinary MEP coordination.
• Proven expertise in MEP shop drawings, technical submissions, BIM coordination, and large-scale construction projects.
• Proficiency in HAP, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and MS Project/Primavera.
• Strong knowledge of UAE regulations, ASHRAE, NFPA, and applicable industry standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Experience

• High-rise buildings and mixed-use developments.
• Contractor or MEP consultancy environment.
• Leading multidisciplinary design and BIM teams.
