Job summary

White Space Recruitment seeks a senior architect to lead luxury projects in the Middle East, taking ownership from client discussions through concept design, development, and construction documentation. You will balance strong design with rigorous technical delivery and client-facing engagement.

Working closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams, you will drive the design vision while maintaining programme, quality, and standards throughout the lifecycle.

We are currently working with an ambitious and design-led architectural consultancy that is rapidly establishing itself as one of the most exciting studios in the Middle East. Despite being relatively new to the market, the practice has already secured an impressive portfolio of landmark projects for some of the region's leading developers and contractors.

Their work spans luxury residential developments, hospitality projects, resort destinations, mixed-use developments, and large-scale masterplans, with a strong emphasis on innovative design, technical excellence, and project delivery.

The Role:

This is a senior-level position requiring a highly capable architect who can take ownership of projects from the earliest client discussions through concept design, design development, technical coordination, and final documentation.

The successful candidate will combine strong design capabilities with excellent technical knowledge, ensuring projects are both visually compelling and deliverable.

Working closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams, you will be responsible for driving the design vision while maintaining programme, quality, and technical standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead architectural projects from client engagement and briefing through to IFC documentation.
• Develop and oversee concept design proposals, ensuring alignment with client objectives and project requirements.
• Drive design development and technical coordination across all project stages.
• Produce and review high-quality architectural drawings, presentations, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary consultants, contractors, and stakeholders throughout the design process.
• Ensure projects meet local authority requirements, building regulations, and industry standards.
• Mentor and support junior team members while contributing to the growth of the studio.
• Participate in client presentations, workshops, and design reviews.
• Manage multiple project priorities while maintaining exceptional design and technical quality.

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of professional architectural experience.
• Proven background delivering luxury residential, hospitality, resort, mixed-use, or masterplanning projects.
• Demonstrated experience leading projects from concept design through to IFC stage.
• Strong understanding of both design and technical delivery.
• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary coordination and project teams.
• Advanced Revit proficiency is essential and candidates must be capable of operating within a Revit environment from day one.
• Experience working on projects within the Middle East is highly advantageous.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
