Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Design Architect to join a highly regarded architectural practice in Dubai, working on a portfolio of high-end hospitality, residential and mixed-use developments across the UAE.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented architect who thrives in the early design stages, with a strong eye for design, excellent conceptual thinking and the ability to develop compelling architectural ideas into well-resolved design proposals. You will play a key role from pre-concept through concept and schematic design, working alongside senior designers, architects, consultants and clients to create distinctive, commercially successful projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and contribute to pre-concept, concept and schematic design stages across hospitality, residential and mixed-use projects.
• Develop strong architectural concepts, design narratives and creative strategies.
• Translate initial ideas into compelling architectural proposals, presentations and design packages.
• Produce and oversee high-quality drawings, diagrams, plans, elevations and 3D studies.
• Work closely with Design Directors, Associates and project teams to develop and refine design solutions.
• Coordinate with external consultants and ensure design intent is maintained throughout the project.
• Present design proposals to clients and stakeholders, helping to communicate the architectural vision.
• Contribute to design development, materiality, façade concepts and overall project aesthetics.
• Mentor and support junior architects and designers within the team.
• Ensure projects meet the required design, quality and technical standards.

Ideally, you will have:

• 12+ years' architectural experience, with a strong focus on design.
• Significant experience across pre-concept, concept and schematic design.
• A strong portfolio covering luxury hospitality, high-end residential and/or mixed-use developments.
• Excellent conceptual and creative design skills.
• Strong architectural presentation and communication abilities.
• The ability to develop ideas from initial concept through to a well-resolved schematic design.
• Experience working within an international architectural or design practice.
• Gulf / Middle East experience is preferred, but is not essential for candidates with an exceptional portfolio and strong international experience.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and Adobe Creative Suite; 3D modelling skills would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work directly with senior stakeholders and clients.
