Job summary

Pay10 UAE is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure database systems across SQL and NoSQL technologies in a Dubai environment. You will work with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure high availability and optimal performance for mission-critical applications.

Key responsibilities include performance tuning, backups, disaster recovery, replication, security controls, and CI/CD integration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in database administration, including leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexing, and resources.
• Manage backups, regular backups, and disaster recovery processes.
• Configure high availability, replication, and failover mechanisms.
• Ensure data security through access controls, encryption, and audits.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
• Support development teams with design, queries, and performance tuning.
• Troubleshoot complex database issues with timely resolution.
• Plan upgrades, migrations, and version control with minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with DevOps to integrate databases into CI/CD workflows.
• Maintain documentation of configurations, processes, and policies.
