Job summary

BlackStone eIT in Dubai, UAE, is seeking a Senior Database Administrator for an on-site role. You will manage enterprise database platforms, ensure uptime, perform tuning, backups and security, and coordinate changes with teams.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of DBA experience, proficiency with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL or MongoDB, and certifications such as Oracle OCP or Microsoft cert. Experience with UAE government or regulated data environments and TDRA-hosted databases is a plus;

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of enterprise database administration experience.
• Strong experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
• Proficiency in performance tuning, backup/recovery, high availability and security.

Responsibilities

• Administer approved database platforms, instances, storage, jobs, configurations and access controls.
• Monitor database health, performance, capacity and replication/high-availability components.
• Diagnose incidents, failed jobs, performance issues and data-platform dependencies.
• Manage backups, recovery, patching and upgrades in coordination with other teams.
• Support security, audit logging and periodic access reviews.
• Document root causes, risks and recommendations; changes require approval.
