Job summary

BlackStone eIT is seeking an experienced Data Engineer in the United Arab Emirates to design, build, and optimize data pipelines across diverse sources and storage layers.

You will work with cloud data warehouses and data lakes, implement governance and quality checks, and run advanced analytics using SQL and Python to drive business value. Proficiency in Power BI/Tableau and orchestration tools like Airflow or dbt is required.

Qualifications

• 4 to 6+ years of combined experience in data engineering and advanced data analysis.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, or Scala.
• Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure; familiarity with Spark or Hadoop.
• BI dashboard experience with Power BI or Tableau.
• Hands-on with orchestration tools like Airflow or dbt.
• Educational degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Statistics.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize robust ETL/ELT data pipelines from multiple data sources.
• Maintain cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and data lakes.
• Implement data governance, validation checks, and error-handling routines.
• Query large datasets using complex SQL and Python to extract business value.
• Create automated dashboards and BI reports for stakeholders using Tableau or Power BI.
