Job summary

Al-Futtaim Finance Company in Dubai seeks a seasoned Chief Risk Officer - Enterprise Risk Governance to lead the second line of defense across credit, operational, cyber, and regulatory risks. You will shape risk governance, challenge management, and ensure CBUAE readiness while reporting to the Board and risk committees.

The role requires senior leadership with deep enterprise risk knowledge, governance experience, and the ability to translate complex risk topics for executives and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, or related discipline.
• Master's degree is advantageous.
• Professional qualifications such as FRM, PRM, CFA, CA, CPA, or ACCA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the organization’s second line of defense across multiple risk areas.
• Develop and maintain the enterprise risk management framework.
• Establish and manage the Risk Appetite Framework and related KRIs.
• Define risk policies, escalation protocols, and governance requirements.
• Provide independent risk opinions to the Board and governance forums.
• Oversee risk in outsourcing, technology, cyber, and operations.
• Ensure IFRS 9 / ECL considerations are challenged and accurate.
• Coordinate regulatory submissions and readiness with CBUAE.
