Job summary

Grant Thornton UAE in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Consultant to empower the team, deliver excellence, and shape risk strategies within our Business Risk Services line.

You will lead audit planning, manage client relationships, and develop risk solutions across financial services, with a focus on internal controls, reporting, and value creation in a dynamic professional services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or finance is essential.
• Qualified level candidate of professional qualification (CA UK, CPA, ACA, ACCA) is mandatory.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills in English; Arabic advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare draft terms of reference/audit planning documents before client meetings.
• Prepare business proposals and ensure timely submission to line manager.
• Execute financial risk management assignments independently in Financial Services (capital, liquidity, credit, market risk).
• Conduct current state assessments, gap analyses and Target Operating Model design.
• Produce close-out documentation and support client close-out meetings.
• Plan and supervise audits and lead planning and exit meetings with junior staff.
