Job summary

Bureau Veritas | Marine & Offshore in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Inspector - Coating & Painting to perform surface preparation and coating inspections on offshore pipelines and risers. You will verify procedures, monitor coating application, and ensure compliance with international codes and client specifications.

The role requires 5+ years of painting/coating inspection, relevant certifications, and strong technical knowledge of ASME, API, ANSI, ASTM, and BS standards.

Qualifications

• NACE/CSWIP/painting inspector II or approved equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years inspection experience in painting/coating.
• Strong knowledge of international codes (ASME/API/ANSI/ASTM/BS) and coatings standards.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve contractor painting/coating procedures.
• Inspect surface profile, test for chloride contamination, and monitor weather during coating operations.
• Ensure materials and coatings come from approved manufacturers and conform to specs.
• Witness dry film thickness, holiday tests, and post-curing checks on risers and pipelines.
